JUNIOR CASHIER - KOLPETTY

Key Responsibilities:

• Transaction Processing: Operate the cash register to process sales transactions, including handling cash, credit card payments, and gift cards. Ensure accuracy in cash handling and provide change as needed.

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist with their inquiries about products, and offer recommendations based on their needs. Address and resolve any customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

• Checkout Area Maintenance: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked. Ensure that all merchandise is properly scanned and bagged efficiently.

• Inventory Assistance: Assist with restocking shelves, organizing displays, and managing inventory as needed. Report any low stock levels or product issues to the supervisor.

• Returns and Exchanges: Process returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies. Ensure that items are returned to the correct location and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.

• Cash Reconciliation: Perform end-of-day cash reconciliation, including counting cash, verifying transactions, and preparing cash deposits. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor.

• Compliance: Adhere to all store policies and procedures, including those related to security, health, and safety. Follow guidelines for handling confidential customer information.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar retail role is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of textiles and fabrics is advantageous.
• Proficiency in operating cash registers and handling transactions.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a textile or fabric retail environment.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management.
